PS. – I Love You

Nope, this is totally NOT what you’re thinking. The love of my life is still out there somewhere, waiting to sweep me off my feet (LOL).

Today, we’re chatting about one of my absolute FAVORITE places in California, especially because it’s Pride month and this is a great place to celebrate! If you haven’t guessed it already, I’m talking about.. PALM SPRINGS!

I can’t say enough about this magical place! As soon as I hit the 111 I just get this feeling of excitement. I really don’t know what it is but I just adore the vibes in Palm Springs. The weather is always great, yup, even if its 120 degrees out (just put me in a pool).

With all of that being said, I have put a list together of my favorite spots, just for you!

First things first, if you’re not from Cali or you plan on driving out and staying for the night, I have the best hotels/condo for you.

My beautiful best friends (Heather & Blake) own “Casa Segundo”. Ten minutes, walking distance, from Downtown, this condo is FULLY stocked and has both a gorgeous pool and tennis court. They maintain this condo very well and it is in tip-top shape. One of the BEST things about this place is you can walk 10 minutes to the hottest restaurants and shops downtown or if it’s too hot, its a quick drive over (max 5 minutes). Interested in booking? The Saguaro Palm Springs: This is such a fun hotel! If you’re looking for a spot with a fun pool, DJ on the weekends, and bomb cocktails, this one is for sure for you! If you’re not into any of that, skip to the next hotel..

The Saguaro is an older motel that’s been remodeled with bright colors all around. It’s a gorgeous hotel with the cutest rooms that all surround the pool. When you’re ready to take a dip or lay out, the pool has PLENTY of room, even on a packed weekend, and the bar/pool restaurant is wonderful. It’s also a great spot to capture all of those fun Instagram worthy photos.

This hotel is not walking distance to downtown (at least I wouldn’t recommend trying it) but it’s a very short Uber ride. Also, they have a running shuttle that you’re able to hop on as well!

It’s definitely worth checking out if you’re heading to Palm Springs for a “fun” getaway! To book: click here

The Renaissance Indian Wells: This hotel is a bit farther from Palm Springs and is located in Indian Wells. However, if you’re looking for a place to golf or you’re wanting a more “relaxed” getaway, I would totally recommend checking out this hotel.

This hotel has a beautiful spa, the cleanest rooms, and the prettiest pool. I like to mention pools a lot because DUH, it’s the desert, and in the summer, it’s much needed.

Anyways, we have been visiting this hotel every summer, as a family, for quite some time. My dad enjoys golfing and we attend an annual golf tournament every year here. I chill by the pool with family and they to have a great bar/restaurant, especially for a pool setting, and they usually play music on their speakers as well but much quieter than a DJ.

They have multiple restaurants on site that are tasty but if you’re looking to leave the hotel, there are many restaurants in the surrounding area. If you take the 111 down to Downtown Palm Springs, it’s about a 20-25 minute drive, depending on the stoplights you hit.

As stated, it’s a great hotel if you’re looking to relax and unwind! To book a room: click here

There are SO many places I could recommend for brunch/dinner but I’ll keep it to my top 4.

Pinocchio In the Desert (for brunch): By far, this is the BEST restaurant for brunch. Beware..! They are ONLY open from 7:30am-2pm. So if you’re craving botomless mimosas at 1pm, you better get there and put your name down to get in before they close.

This restaurant has bottomless mimosas, EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. And.. they are cheap! You only have to purchase an entree, in order to opt in. My friends and I have gone through 4 bottles of champagne, in one sitting before (between 4 of us) no joke, it’s the greatest.

Their food is also amazing. HUGE servings so come with an appetite but they have everything you could ever dream of.

It’s also just a fun environment to be in! The waiters/waitresses are super fun, the people around you are always up for a good time, AND they are super PRIDEful! To check out the menu: click here!

FARM (breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner): This place is a little higher end but the food is amazing and the cocktails are even better!

The atmosphere is the cutest and it looks as if it could be someone’s home (fancy of course) and has the most gorgeous flowers, intertwining the entire restaurant. It’s tucked away in a little corner of downtown but totally worth the search. They serve french food that is to die for and their drink menu is exquisite. This spot is perfect for a date night or brunch with girlfriends.

Sit outside under umbrellas and enjoy the fresh air or sit inside and view the beautiful artwork they have displayed. Either way, you’re in for a treat!

They have a seasonal menu so I would call if you’re interested in what they serve. For directions: click here!

Las Casuelas Terraza (for any meal): Right in the heart of downtown, this place is the BEST!

They serve the best margaritas and have wonderful, authentic, Mexican food. Usually, there’s live music in the evenings as well and people are always up dancing with the band.

This spot is so much fun, mainly outdoors so dress appropriately, and has the greatest atmosphere. I really enjoy sitting closer to the street to have a gorgeous view of the mountains. Beware..! On the weekends, this place get’s PACKED. So be prepared to wait. They allow you to put your name down and then they text you when your table is ready so you can explore downtown while you wait.

LULU California Bistro (for cocktails): I can’t say enough about this cute spot. It’s the perfect place to cool down with a martini or sangria! PLUS, they have ALL day happy hour, say whattt!? Yup, it makes for the perfect boozy day!

Their atmosphere is inspired by Marilyn Monroe so it’s bright and beautiful with her photo’s everywhere. It’s very “classic” Palm Springs.

Again, this is a great spot with a gorgeous view of downtown and the Palm Canyon Drive mountains!

My favorite shopping spot is now Downtown Palm Springs! They just built a ton of new hotels and stores so it’s brand SPANKIN’ new! Just walk the strip and you’ll find Kiehls, Free People, Tommy Bahama, and so much more. They have everything from high end, to your typical souvenir shops!

Pool Spots

The LAST thing I want to share is my favorite spots for pools. If you’re just wanting to spend the day in PS and sit by a pool, without reserving a hotel room, here’s where you can go.

Arrive Hotel: This little pool is the cutest! I love the modern, trendy vibe it gives and they have both great food and drinks! Get there early, if you want to tan, because it is smaller and the chairs are taken quickly. On the weekends, there is a $10 entrance fee because of the DJ (who plays great music and not as loud). Click here for the deets.

Hotel Zoso: Formally known as The Hard Rock, this pool is HUGE and a lot of fun if you’re looking for a weekend DJ. Great bar with fun cocktails that you can sip on allll day. There is a $20 entrance fee to use the pool for the day and you will need a wristband but, it’s worth the fee as the DJ is fantastic. Click here for details!

Visit Palm Springs

This is not an AD, just one of my favorite places to go! It’s 45 minutes from my house and I really enjoy spending time here.

I hope you find these locations useful, and if you end up visiting, tag me in your photos! I’d love to see you checking out my FAVORITE spots!
